Hello, and welcome.

I’m Vicky — the grower, gatherer and creator behind Sage, Stem & Bee.

Life threw me a very curvy ball recently. Out of the blue I was made redundant from the job I loved and planned to retire from — not something I ever expected after twenty-seven years as a doctor caring for NHS patients. But it seems this is the way of the world now.

With that hefty serving of lemons came the chance to make lemonade. And so, Sage, Stem & Bee was born — out of a strong inner pull to work more intentionally, at a slower pace, and in harmony with nature and the seasons. These days you’ll find me in the garden rather than a clinic: sowing, growing and watching the butterflies and bees at work.

Everything here begins as a seed or root in our garden, tended organically and with nature in mind, at a gentle pace, in step with the seasons. I share with you whatever is at its most beautiful that week: armfuls of ranunculus, roses with names and personalities, the first sweet peas of summer, the last of the dahlias.
